Hi all! Zaidee here from the Customer Success team. I wanted to make a quick announcement for some upcoming changes to the flow of taking on an inbound referral. Historically, once you matched with an inbound referral (either your proposal on a Marketplace case was accepted OR you accepted a Waterfall invite to take on a case), you had a 30 day period to contact the client, review the case materials, and decide whether or not you were going to sign the client or not (more on that process here: Case Matching and Signing). We received a lot of feedback from users that, depending on practice area, that timeframe was either too long or too short!
Starting 4/16/25, we are updating that flow to have dynamic vetting periods based on practice area. The goal here is to take out any unnecessary delays in your referral process! The new vetting period will last longer for some practice areas and be shorter for others. The default vetting period for inbound matched cases is 14 days, with the exception of Med Mal, Lemon Law, and Class action cases, which have 45 day vetting periods.
Any cases to which you had sent proposals before we make this change will be unaffected; the vetting period will still be 30 days!
As always, if you have any questions, please feel encouraged to reach out to support@attorneyshare.com!
