I wanted to take a moment to walk you through how to optimize your profile, both from a housekeeping perspective and for your public-facing profile.
I am currently logged into my attorney account. To begin, if you click on your profile picture in the top right corner, you’ll see several tabs that we will focus on.
The first tab is User Profile. This section contains the fields available to you during signup. Some of this information may already be filled out, but you can always come back and update it. One key point to note is that the Personal Information tab is what will be visible to others when they click into your profile from the Member Directory. This is the public-facing bio, so it's important to make sure it's filled out, especially if you are looking to connect with new people or take on new cases.
In this section, you can also add additional licenses, if relevant, as well as update your law firm information, practice areas, and educational background. Your noted practice areas are important because our team uses them as filters for the new case alerts that you receive.
Next, the My Account tab contains more logistical housekeeping items. Here, you can change the password associated with your account, as well as manage your notification preferences. For example, you may have noticed that you receive a notification whenever a new case is posted in your jurisdiction. From this menu, you can choose to narrow down these alerts by selecting specific practice areas that you specialize in.
You also have the option to choose how you'd like to receive notifications: via email, text, or both. You can even turn off notifications altogether. Just be sure to save your preferences after making any changes.
Another important feature in the top menu is the Help Center. As a member of the customer support team, this is one of the most important resources for you. Here, you can find information relevant to using the platform, search for specific topics, or submit a request to contact our team directly. This is the same as emailing support@attorneyshare.com, so if you have any questions about your user account or need assistance, feel free to reach out to us.
