Video Transcript:
This video will demonstrate what it looks like for invited users to create their accounts under your firm.
I am currently logged into the admin account of my firm. In the "Invitation Sent" section, I can see that I invited Zaidee Intake from my intake team to join the firm as a case manager.
Now, I will log out of the attorney account and show you the process of creating an account for the intake team.
Notably, if I try to create a net new account as the intake team, I will encounter an error message stating that the firm has already been created. The message will instruct me to reference the invite in my email inbox or contact the firm admin to proceed. To avoid this error, the intake team member should create their account directly from the invitation email they received, rather than the 'Create Account' button on the website.
I will now click the invite link and proceed with account creation. I’ll enter a new first name, "Intake," and create a password for the new Case Manager user.
It’s important to note that Case Managers are not prompted to enter law firm or bar license information. This is because they are not licensed attorneys; they act on behalf of licensed attorneys within the firm.
As a Case Manager, I can edit my profile, and I’ll also have the option to update my notification preferences. For example, I can set notifications for cases in jurisdictions where attorneys in my firm are licensed, and I can choose to receive these notifications via email.
Once the account creation is complete, the Case Manager will have access to the platform, with a similar view to that of an attorney. However, when sending a proposal for a case, the Case Manager must select an attorney to send the proposal on behalf of, as Case Managers do not have licensing authority. If there are multiple attorneys in the firm, all of them will be listed for the Case Manager to choose from.
Additionally, once the Case Manager account is created, the user will have access to the Firm Settings panel. From there, I can view all users associated with the firm, including the Attorney and Case Manager accounts.
If you have any questions about this process, please feel free to email support@attorneyshare.com.
Happy referring, and I hope you successfully add new team members to your firm!
